Key takeaways
- A hospital website in Jhajjar should put the emergency number, address and opening hours on every page before anything else.
- Each doctor page should show the medical council registration number and only recognised degrees, as the 2002 ethics regulations require for the clinic itself.
- Separate Google Business Profiles are allowed for genuinely distinct hospital departments and public-facing doctors, but not one profile per specialisation.
- Appointment forms collect personal data, so ask for the minimum and show a plain consent notice in line with the DPDP Rules, 2025.

What should a hospital website in Jhajjar do first?
A hospital website in Jhajjar must first tell a worried visitor how to reach you: the emergency number, the address with a map, and whether the hospital is open right now. Everything else, from department pages to health articles, comes after that. Good hospital website design starts with these basics on every page, not buried in a footer.
Jhajjar district is spread out. Jhajjar town sits about 55 km west of Delhi on the Rewari–Rohtak road (NH-352) and the Loharu–Meerut road (NH-334B), according to Wikipedia. Bahadurgarh, about 21 km from Delhi, has been on the Delhi Metro Green Line since June 2018, with the Bahadurgarh City and Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh stations (source). The district website lists government civil hospitals at Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh (near Jhajjar Chowk), Beri and Dighal.
The district also hosts the National Cancer Institute on the Jhajjar campus of AIIMS New Delhi, at Badhsa village, which began Phase-I services in December 2018 (AIIMS). A private hospital can mention distances to such public landmarks to help with directions, but should never word its pages in a way that suggests a link with them.
- Top bar on every page: emergency or casualty number as a tap-to-call link, plus a WhatsApp button for non-urgent questions.
- Is it open now: OPD timings, emergency hours and Sunday or holiday timings, written plainly.
- Find us: full address, an embedded Google Map and two or three nearby landmarks people actually use.
Which pages does a small hospital website need?
Most nursing homes and small hospitals need about eight core pages; more pages only help if each one answers a real patient question. The table below is a page plan you can hand to any designer.
| Page | What goes on it | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Emergency number, departments at a glance, OPD hours, map | Most visitors decide in seconds whether they are in the right place |
| Departments (one page each) | What the department treats, which doctors sit there, OPD days, how to book | Patients search for the service, not the hospital name |
| Doctors | Photo, recognised degrees, council registration number, OPD days, languages spoken | Patients and referring doctors check who they will see |
| Facilities | Diagnostics, ICU, OT, pharmacy, ambulance, described factually | Families need to know what the hospital can and cannot handle |
| Insurance and schemes | Only panels and schemes you are actually part of, with how to use them | Avoids arguments at the billing desk |
| Patients and visitors | Visiting hours, what to bring, parking, food, nearby stay options | Cuts repeat phone calls to reception |
| Contact and directions | Map, directions from the bus stand and highway, phone, WhatsApp | Supports local search and first-time visitors |
| Privacy notice | What patient data you collect, why, and who to contact | Needed for appointment forms under the DPDP framework |
Keep the departments list honest. If a specialist visits only on Tuesdays, say so on the department page. A page that hides visiting-consultant days just moves the complaint to your reception desk.
How should doctor and department pages be written?
Write doctor pages as factual credentials, not promotion: name, recognised qualifications, registration number, department and OPD timings. The 2002 ethics regulations require every physician to display the registration number given by the State Medical Council or MCI in the clinic and on prescriptions, certificates and receipts (regulation 1.4.1). Showing it on the website as well is a sensible extension.
- Degrees: regulation 1.4.2 allows only recognised medical degrees, diplomas and memberships as suffixes. Leave out vague titles and awards that are not qualifications.
- No superlatives: avoid "best surgeon in Jhajjar" or "No. 1 hospital". These read as solicitation and cannot be proved.
- Department pages: describe the conditions treated and the procedures offered in plain Hindi and English, with what the patient should bring for the first visit.
- Visiting consultants: mark them clearly with the days they attend.
Google Business Profile has matching rules. Google's guidelines say departments within hospitals may have their own profiles if they operate as distinct entities, each with a different name and a distinct main category. Doctors are treated as individual practitioners; a public-facing doctor can have a profile, but should not create several profiles to cover different specialisations.
What can a hospital website say under India's medical ethics rules?
A hospital website can inform, but it should not solicit patients. The NMC's Registered Medical Practitioner (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 2023 were placed in abeyance by a Gazette notification on 23 August 2023, and the NMC directed that the Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002 apply (report). We found no later notification replacing them, but check nmc.org.in before you publish.
- Regulation 6.1.1: soliciting patients directly or indirectly is unethical, for a physician, a group or an institution. Formal announcements of starting practice, a change of address or resumption of practice are allowed.
- Regulation 7.14: patient confidentiality, so no case stories that identify anyone.
- Regulation 7.17: no patient photographs or case reports without permission unless identity is concealed.
- Drugs and Magic Remedies Act, 1954: section 3 bars advertisements suggesting a drug for the cure or treatment of diseases in its Schedule, and section 4 bars false or misleading drug claims (Act text).
In practice, leave out patient testimonials, "guaranteed cure" language and dramatic success claims. This is a summary for website planning, not legal advice; have your medical superintendent or a lawyer review the final wording.
How should a Jhajjar hospital cover Bahadurgarh and nearby towns online?
Create one location page for each real hospital or clinic building, and describe nearby towns honestly on that page instead of inventing branches. Google's guidelines allow one Business Profile per real location, so a website with fake "Bahadurgarh branch" pages for a hospital that only exists in Jhajjar works against you.
- Main location page: address, map, directions from Jhajjar bus stand and from NH-352, parking and entrance details.
- Real second site: if you also run an OPD in Bahadurgarh, give it its own page with its own timings, doctors and phone number, plus directions from the nearest metro station.
- Patients from nearby towns: a short section on travel from Beri, Dighal, Kasni and Badli, with road names and timings that patients can check.
- Hindi and English: the same content in both, so family members searching in Hindi land on the right page.
- Search phrases: department pages naturally use phrases such as "orthopaedic hospital in Jhajjar" or "maternity hospital near Bahadurgarh", without stuffing.
Our website development in Jhajjar page and the Google Business Profile optimisation guide explain the local search set-up in more detail.
How should appointment requests and patient data be handled?
Ask for the minimum in the appointment form, say clearly why you need it, and route each request to one person who replies. Name, phone, preferred department and preferred day are usually enough; symptoms and reports can wait for the consultation.
The Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 were notified on 14 November 2025 with an 18-month phased compliance timeline (PIB). They require standalone, plain consent notices that explain the specific purpose of collecting data, prompt notice to affected people after a data breach, and responses to access or correction requests within 90 days. Use the phasing period to get forms and inboxes in order now. This is not legal advice.
- Form vs WhatsApp: a form lets you control where data is stored; WhatsApp is faster for patients but spreads data across staff phones. Many hospitals offer both and log every request in one place.
- One inbox: appointment requests should not land in a doctor's personal email.
- Tracking: a simple CRM can record each request, who called back and the outcome.
How fast and accessible does the site need to be?
It should load quickly on an ordinary phone on a weak mobile signal, because many visitors are standing in a corridor or travelling. Heavy sliders and auto-playing videos slow the page and hide the phone number.
- Compressed photos of the building, reception and departments, not stock images of foreign hospitals.
- Large text and buttons that older relatives can read and tap.
- Hospital or MedicalClinic structured data from schema.org with address, phone and opening hours.
- HTTPS on every page, especially forms.
- A visible "last reviewed" date on pages that carry medical information.

Frequently Asked Questions
What pages should a hospital website in Jhajjar have?
Start with a home page showing the emergency number and OPD hours, one page per department, doctor profiles with registration numbers, a facilities page, insurance and schemes you actually accept, a patients and visitors page, contact and directions with a map, and a privacy notice. Add a separate location page only for each real building, such as a genuine Bahadurgarh OPD.
Can a hospital website show patient testimonials?
It is safest not to. The 2002 ethics regulations, which the NMC applies while its 2023 regulations are in abeyance, treat soliciting patients as unethical, and they require consent before patient photos or case reports are published. Testimonials also risk breaching confidentiality. Use factual information about services instead, and take legal advice on any patient story.
Should every doctor at our hospital have a Google Business Profile?
Only public-facing doctors who can be contacted at the verified location during stated hours, according to Google's guidelines. The hospital keeps its own profile, and each practitioner profile should carry only the doctor's name. A doctor should not have several profiles for different specialisations. Distinct departments may have their own profiles with different names and categories.
Does the DPDP Act affect our appointment form?
Yes. An appointment form collects personal data, so the DPDP framework applies. The DPDP Rules, 2025 were notified on 14 November 2025 with an 18-month phased timeline, and they require clear consent notices, breach notification and responses to data requests within 90 days. Ask only for what you need and keep requests in one controlled place.
Can our Jhajjar hospital website mention AIIMS or the civil hospital?
You can mention public landmarks such as the civil hospital or the AIIMS Jhajjar campus at Badhsa to help with directions or to explain referrals. Do not use their names, logos or photos in a way that suggests your private hospital is part of them or endorsed by them. Keep such mentions short, factual and accurate.
