Key takeaways
- A nutrition store website in Gurgaon sells on trust first: clear label photos, licence numbers and honest product facts matter more than flashy banners.
- FSSAI, Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection rules decide much of what a product page and footer must show, so plan those blocks into the design.
- Sector-cluster pages for Golf Course Road, Old Gurgaon, Sohna Road and New Gurgaon help local buyers find you, but only where you really deliver.
- Health claims need care: supplements may not claim to cure or prevent disease, so write product copy from the label, not from marketing hype.

What should a nutrition store website in Gurgaon do first?
Good nutrition store website design in Gurgaon does three things on the first screen: it shows the buyer the product is genuine, shows what is inside the pack, and makes ordering to their sector quick. Everything else, such as offers, blog posts and brand stories, comes after.
Gurgaon is spread wide. The city is divided into 115 sectors and 36 wards, according to its Wikipedia entry, running from the older sectors around Sector 14 out to New Gurgaon, whose main clusters are Sectors 76 to 95 and 102 to 113 along the Dwarka Expressway. A store near Golf Course Road and a store in Sector 84 serve very different neighbourhoods, and the website should say clearly which ones you cover.
Your buyers are also varied: gym regulars comparing whey and plant protein, office staff from Cyber City and Udyog Vihar ordering for pickup on the way home, parents buying for the family, and older customers looking for Ayurvedic or wellness products. A good design lets each of them reach the right shelf in one or two taps.
Which pages does a Gurgaon supplement store website need?
Plan the page list before choosing colours. A nutrition store needs fewer pages than you might think, but each one has a specific job.
| Page | Its job | What it must show |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Route buyers to the right shelf | Goal-based categories, store address, WhatsApp button, delivery areas |
| Category pages | Help comparison | Filters for type, flavour, pack size, veg or non-veg, brand |
| Product pages | Answer every pre-purchase question | Label photos, MRP, net quantity, manufacturer or importer, best before policy |
| Authenticity page | Remove the fear of fakes | Where you buy stock, importer details, how buyers can check a pack |
| Store and location page | Win local and "near me" searches | Google Map, hours, parking or metro landmark, pickup steps |
| Delivery area pages | Target sector clusters | Real delivery times, pickup option, local landmarks |
| Policy pages | Meet legal duties and build confidence | Returns, refunds, shipping, grievance officer contact |
If your store also sells counter items inside a gym, or you run a gym yourself, the same catalogue can feed both. Our online store development page explains how catalogue, payments and stock fit together.
What must a supplement product page show?
A product page should show the same facts the buyer would read on the pack in your shop, plus your seller details. Several Indian rules point to the same list, so design a fixed layout block for them on every product.
- Clear label photos: FSSAI's e-commerce licensing provisions ask sellers to show a legible picture of the principal display panel of pre-packed food. Batch number, best before, expiry, manufacturing date and MRP are exempt from that picture because they change by batch.
- Seller licence: the same provisions ask sellers on an e-commerce platform to display their FSSAI licence or registration.
- Package declarations: the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, amended in 2017, require the mandatory package declarations, except the month and year of manufacture, to be shown online. These include the retail sale price inclusive of all taxes, the country of origin for imported products and a best before date where relevant (see the 2017 amendment text).
- Category wording: under the FSS (Health Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use, Food for Special Medical Purpose, and Prebiotic and Probiotic Food) Regulations, 2022, labels carry words such as "HEALTH SUPPLEMENT" or "NUTRACEUTICAL", "NOT FOR MEDICINAL USE" and the recommended usage. Your photos should make these readable.
- Full price: the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 ask stores selling their own stock to show the total price with a breakup, including delivery charges and tax.
FSSAI's e-commerce provisions also say food delivered to a consumer should have 30 percent or 45 days of shelf life left at delivery. State your minimum-shelf-life promise on the product page so buyers do not have to ask.
How do you design for trust when fake supplements are a worry?
Show where your stock comes from and what you will do if something is wrong. Buyers who fear fakes look for specific proof, not the word "genuine" in a banner.
- Name the importer or distributor: for imported goods, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 ask e-commerce entities to mention the name and details of the importer they bought from.
- Print the batch on the invoice: so a buyer can match the tub in hand with the bill and with the brand's own checks.
- Explain how to check a pack: point buyers to the brand's own verification method where one exists, and show photos of the sealed pack and the label.
- Back up your promise: under Rule 7(5), a store that vouches for authenticity bears liability for it, so only say "100% original" if your purchase invoices support it.
- Keep reviews real: the same rules bar a store from posing as a consumer to post reviews.
Google takes the same line. Its counterfeit products policy for Merchant Center does not allow counterfeit goods, so clean sourcing also protects your free Google listings.
What claims can you write on a nutrition store website?
Write what the label supports, and never claim a product treats, cures or prevents a disease. The 2022 nutraceutical regulations say these products may not claim to treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any specific disease, disorder or condition unless the Food Authority permits it (see FSSAI's published regulation text).
| Avoid | Write instead |
|---|---|
| "Cures joint pain" or "controls sugar" | The ingredient list and recommended usage, exactly as on the label |
| "Guaranteed muscle in 30 days" | Protein per serving and serving size from the label |
| "Doctor-approved" without proof | Nothing, unless you can show the approval |
| Before-and-after photos of customers | How to use the product and who it is meant for |
The same regulation allows nutrition and health claims listed in the FSS (Advertising and Claims) Regulations, 2018, and other claims only with prior approval. This is a general guide, not legal advice; check claims with the brand and a food regulatory consultant.
How should a Gurgaon nutrition store target sectors and "near me" searches?
Use one strong store page plus a few sector-cluster pages for areas you really serve. Writing near-identical pages for every sector does not help buyers and can look like doorway pages to Google.
- Golf Course Road: the Rapid Metro's southern extension runs mostly along this road to Sectors 55 and 56, according to the Rapid Metro Gurgaon entry. Mention stations as pickup landmarks.
- Cyber City and Udyog Vihar: DLF Cyber City lies near Udyog Vihar across NH-48. Office buyers want order-ahead and evening pickup.
- Old Gurgaon: areas around Sector 14 (home to HUDA Garden) and Leisure Valley Park in Sector 29, plus Yellow Line stations such as IFFCO Chowk, MG Road and Millennium City Centre.
- New Gurgaon and Dwarka Expressway: sectors such as 83 to 86 have grown fast along the expressway, often with fewer local shops.
On Google Business Profile, a shop that also delivers is a hybrid business. Google says it can show its storefront and set up to 20 service areas, kept within about two hours' drive (see Google's service area help). Our guide to local SEO for Gurgaon businesses covers categories and reviews.
How should checkout and store policies be designed?
Make checkout short, and put the legally required details where buyers can find them before they pay. Most supplement orders come from phones, so test every step on a mid-range Android.
- UPI, cards and cash on delivery, with GST invoices sent automatically.
- Order updates on WhatsApp and SMS, and a reorder button for repeat buys.
- Your legal name, address, website details and customer care and grievance officer contacts on every page footer, as Rule 4 of the e-commerce rules requires.
- A grievance officer who acknowledges complaints within 48 hours and resolves them within a month.
- A returns policy that clearly takes back defective, spurious or not-as-described goods, and no pre-ticked consent boxes at checkout.
From 1 January 2027, amended rules also require a discounted price to be shown with the prior price, meaning the lowest price in the previous 30 days, according to the government's announcement. Design your offer badges with that in mind now.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should a nutrition store website in Gurgaon include?
It should include goal-based categories, product pages with clear label photos and package declarations, an authenticity page, a store page with a Google Map, a few delivery-area pages for sectors you really serve, and clear return, refund and grievance details. Add UPI, card and cash-on-delivery payments and a WhatsApp button, because most buyers order from their phones.
Do I need to show my FSSAI licence number on my supplement website?
FSSAI's e-commerce licensing provisions ask sellers listing food on an e-commerce platform to display their FSSAI licence or registration. Showing it in the footer and on the about page is a simple way to do this and also reassures buyers. Check with a food regulatory consultant which licence type applies to your online sales; this is not legal advice.
Can I write that a supplement helps with diabetes or joint pain?
No. The FSS nutraceutical regulations of 2022 say health supplements and nutraceuticals may not claim to treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any specific disease, disorder or condition unless specifically permitted. Stick to label facts such as ingredients, serving size and recommended usage. Only permitted nutrition and health claims may be used, so confirm wording with the brand.
Should I make a separate page for every Gurgaon sector?
Usually not. Near-identical pages for every sector help nobody and can look like doorway pages to Google. Instead, build one detailed store page and a few cluster pages, such as Golf Course Road, Old Gurgaon or New Gurgaon, each with real delivery times, pickup options and local landmarks that make the page genuinely useful.
How can my website show buyers that my supplements are genuine?
Name the importer or authorised distributor you buy from, print batch numbers on invoices, show sealed-pack and label photos, and point buyers to the brand's own verification method where one exists. Offer a clear return policy for spurious or defective goods. Only promise authenticity you can back with purchase invoices, because the e-commerce rules attach liability to that promise.
