Rewari
Built for the old Brass City.
Rewari, in south-west Haryana about 82 km from Delhi and 51 km from Gurgaon, is known for its traditional metalwork, particularly brass. Wikipedia dates the brass industry to around 1535 and links it to the cannon foundry Hemu set up in the town. The Tribune describes Rewari as once known as the Brass City of India, where the thathera (utensil-maker) community has made tokni, patili, degchi, kund and parat, along with bowls and glasses, for hundreds of years, and where brass utensils were gifted at weddings and other auspicious occasions.
The same report says demand has fallen as buyers moved to steel and avoided heavy, tough-to-maintain brass, and that the focus has shifted towards handicraft, fancy and decorative brassware. An earlier Tribune report, from 2019, counted around 100 shops selling brass, steel and copper utensils and about 50 manufacturing units in the city. An online store lets these makers reach buyers far beyond the local market. Rewari Junction, first connected by rail in 1873, has seven railway lines branching out from it.
Our team serves Rewari from our Sector 84 office in Gurgaon and our branch in Kasni, Jhajjar. We do not have an office in Rewari, and we visit your shop or workshop when the project needs it.

What makes selling brassware online different
- The same item comes in many sizes, weights and finishes, so each one needs its own listing
- Many sellers price brass by weight, and the rate they set can change with the metal market
- Dealers buy in bulk at trade rates, while home buyers want a simple retail checkout
- Heavy, polished pieces need careful packing and a courier that handles weight
- Buyers ask about the metal, care and polishing before they order, especially for wedding sets

FAQs
Brassware E-commerce in Rewari — FAQs.
Straight answers to what Rewari business owners ask before they start.
Can the store show prices based on weight?
Yes. You enter a rate per kg and the weight of each item, and the store calculates the price. You decide the rate and change it from the admin panel when you need to. We do not set or suggest prices for your products.
Can dealers see different prices from retail buyers?
Yes. Dealers get their own login with trade price lists, minimum order quantities and bulk ordering. Retail buyers only see your retail prices and checkout.
How do you handle shipping of heavy, fragile brass items?
Shipping is charged by weight and pincode, and the store connects to a courier service for pickup, tracking and delivery updates. Heavy items cost more to ship and need strong packing, so we help you set clear shipping rules. Delivery times depend on the courier.
Who decides the returns and replacement policy?
You do. The returns, replacement and damage-in-transit policy is your business decision. We put your policy on the store clearly and add a simple return request flow if you want one.
Can the store generate GST invoices?
Yes. Every order gets a GST invoice with your GSTIN, HSN codes and tax worked out for the buyer's state, for both retail and dealer orders.
Are there charges for UPI and card payments?
Payments run through a payment gateway of your choice. The gateway charges its own transaction fees, which are paid to the gateway, not to us. We cannot guarantee a particular gateway's approval or fee rate.
Should we sell on online marketplaces or build our own store?
Both can work together. Online marketplaces bring ready traffic but set their own commissions, rules and listing limits. Your own store keeps your brand, your buyer data and your dealer pricing under your control, and you can still list on marketplaces as well.
Can you take product photos and add metal and care details?
We guide you on clear product photos, or work with photos you provide. Alloy, weight, care and polishing instructions, and any marks or certificates, are shown only as you supply them, so every claim on the store is yours to stand behind.
