Jatwara

Eyes on the fields around Jatwara.

Farming runs through every village of Jhajjar district. Wikipedia's district article lists rice, wheat and maize as its major crops and puts irrigated farmland at about 670 square kilometres of the district's 1,834. Around Jatwara that land is watered by tube wells, and each one comes with a pump, a starter panel, cables and a small kotha that can stand far from the house. A farmer cannot be at the motor room and at home at the same time, and many only find out about a problem when they reach the field the next morning.

A camera at the tube well changes that. A weatherproof camera on the motor room shows who came near the starter at night. One on the tractor shed, or wherever implements, diesel and fertiliser are stored, covers the costliest things on the farm. For a wide plot, a PTZ camera, which Wikipedia describes as one that pans, tilts and zooms and is used to watch open areas across 180 or 360 degrees, can be turned from your phone to look at a field gate, a boundary or a stack of fodder.

Fields are harder than houses. The camera has to survive summer heat, dust, monsoon rain and winter fog, so outdoor units should be IP67-sealed. Power often comes from the tube well connection, which follows the agricultural supply schedule, so the recording equipment needs a backup plan. And the video has to reach you: by a cable back to the house when the field is close, or over an internet connection at the site. We check all three at the survey before suggesting a single camera.

What a farm camera has to cope with

  • A tube well room or motor that may be a long way from the house
  • Starter panels, cables and pumps that are costly to replace
  • Tractors, implements, diesel and fertiliser kept in an open shed
  • Power that follows the agricultural supply schedule, not the household one
  • Heat, dust, monsoon rain and winter fog through the year
  • Animals crossing the field at night that should not set off alerts

Who installs CCTV cameras on farms in Jatwara?

DVM Techno, from its branch office in Kasni, Jhajjar. We install weatherproof and PTZ cameras for agricultural land, tube wells and farmhouses, with long-range night vision and alerts on your phone, as well as cameras for homes in the village. Every job starts with a free site survey and a written quote. Call or WhatsApp +91-8448523313.

Can I put a camera on my tube well or farm?

Yes. Three things decide how it is done: a steady power point at the site, a mounting spot high enough that the camera cannot be reached or turned away, and a way for the video to reach you, either by cable to the house or over an internet connection at the field. The recorder should be in a locked box at the site or back at the house.

How do I watch my field camera from home?

If the field is close to the house, the camera can be cabled to the recorder there. Otherwise the site needs an internet connection so the recorder can send video to your phone. Once it is connected, the app shows the farm live and lets you play back the night's recording over mobile data from anywhere.

What happens to farm cameras when the tube well supply is off?

A camera without power records nothing, so the backup has to be planned. Options include a battery backup or UPS at the site, sized for the cameras and recorder, or running the cameras from the house supply and its inverter when the field is near enough. We work this out at the survey once we know your supply hours.

Will a farm camera alert me every time an animal crosses?

Not if detection is set up properly. AI motion detection is designed to alert for people and vehicles rather than animals or moving leaves, and we can limit it to the zones that matter, such as the motor room door. No detection is perfect, so expect the odd false alert, but far fewer than plain motion alarms.

Is one PTZ camera enough for a whole field?

A PTZ camera covers a wide area, but it looks in one direction at a time. For a farm we usually pair it with a fixed camera on the motor room or shed, so the most valuable spot is always being recorded while the PTZ watches the rest.

Will the cameras survive Haryana's summer and monsoon?

Outdoor cameras we fit are IP67-sealed against dust and rain, with cables run in protection. Placing them out of direct afternoon sun where possible helps in May and June, and an annual maintenance contract covers cleaning and checking them after the dusty months.

Which cameras and brands work on a farm?

Outdoor bullet cameras and PTZ cameras for the field, colour night-vision cameras at the farm gate, IP cameras where a cable can reach, and WiFi or cloud cameras, whose footage you view and store through the maker's cloud app, where the site has internet but no cable. At the farmhouse itself, a video door phone covers the gate. We install Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, Uniview, Prama, Honeywell and Bosch, and pick the model after the survey.
