Ahari

A doctor on the screen, not a day on the road.

Ahari is one of the 37 villages around Kasni where our branch runs wireless broadband. For a household here, a visit to a specialist usually means arranging transport, losing a working day and waiting in a hospital queue. The Government of India's telemedicine service, eSanjeevani, offers another route for many routine problems. Its patient-to-doctor version, eSanjeevaniOPD, was launched on 13 April 2020, during the first lockdown, so that people could consult a doctor by video from their own homes. The Press Information Bureau describes eSanjeevani as the Government of India's free telemedicine service.

The process is simple on paper: register on the eSanjeevani website or Android app with a mobile number and an OTP, generate a token, and wait for an SMS saying your turn is close. When the call button turns active, a doctor appears on the screen, hears the problem, and can issue an e-prescription that a chemist can read. Old reports, X-rays or lab results can be attached as photos or PDF files. In practice, what decides whether this works is the connection at your end. A video call that freezes, a token page that will not load, or an upload that fails halfway means starting again, and an elderly patient sitting in front of the phone loses patience long before the doctor does.

eSanjeevani is also linked with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, run by the National Health Authority, so a patient who has an ABHA health ID can share linked health records with the doctor during the consultation. Keeping those records together, rather than as loose papers in a cupboard, is easier when the phone or laptop at home is on a reliable WiFi line instead of a mobile pack that runs low by evening.

Who provides WiFi in Ahari, Jhajjar?

DVM Techno provides wireless WiFi broadband in Ahari from its branch office in Kasni, which serves 37 villages in the area. The connection comes over the air to an antenna on your roof, with unlimited data and no FUP. Call or WhatsApp +91-8448523313 to book a free signal survey.

How much is WiFi in Ahari per month?

The Basic 30 Mbps plan is 400 rupees a month and the Starter 50 Mbps plan is 600 rupees a month, both including GST. For the Standard 100 Mbps and Premium 200 Mbps plans, call or WhatsApp us for the current price. Installation of the antenna and router is free.

Is there a FUP or data limit on the plans?

No. Every plan has unlimited data with no FUP, so the speed does not drop after a set amount of use in the month.

How long does installation take in Ahari?

Fitting the antenna and router takes about two to three hours, and in most villages the internet is live on the same day as the survey.

Do I need a phone line or cable for this broadband?

No. There is no landline, no fibre and no cable laid to your house. The signal travels over the air to a small antenna on the roof, and a short cable runs from the antenna to the router indoors.

Can I consult a government doctor online from Ahari?

Yes. eSanjeevaniOPD, the Government of India's telemedicine service, lets patients register with a mobile number and OTP, take a token and consult a doctor by video from home. It can issue an e-prescription. It is meant for routine consultations, not emergencies; in an emergency go to the nearest hospital.

What internet speed do I need for an eSanjeevani video call?

A video call needs a connection that stays steady for the whole consultation more than a very high speed. Any of our plans handles a single video call; the Starter 50 Mbps plan leaves room for other people in the house to use the internet at the same time.

Can I keep my health records online?

With an ABHA health ID under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, records from linked hospitals and labs can be kept in one place and shared with a doctor during an eSanjeevani consultation. Home WiFi makes uploading and viewing them easier, but the records themselves are managed through the ABHA system, not by us.
