Key takeaways
- Sort products into Ayurveda Aahara, health supplements, ordinary foods and medicines, because each follows different rules.
- Ayurveda Aahara packs carry the AYURVEDA AAHARA words, a logo and an ONLY FOR DIETARY USE warning; show these on product pages.
- Wellness copy must not claim to cure or prevent disease, and online claims must match what the label says.
- Bilingual pages and delivery zones for Samalkha, Israna, Bapoli and Madlauda help a Panipat store reach the whole district.

What should a Panipat wellness or nutrition store website cover?
It should present a mixed range clearly, explain each product honestly and make local ordering easy. Wellness stores often stock herbal powders, honey, Ayurvedic food products, protein and vitamins on the same shelf, and the website must not blur them together.
The district administration calls Panipat the City of Weavers and lists five tehsils: Panipat, Israna, Samalkha, Bapoli and Madlauda. Panipat lies about 95 km north of Delhi on NH-44, and Indian Oil's Panipat Refinery at Baholi was set up in 1998.
For a location page, use landmarks people already know. The district's places of interest include the Panipat Battles Museum, Salar Gunj Gate in the middle of the city, the Devi Mandir, Kabuli Bagh and the tomb of Bu Ali Shah Qalandar.
Wellness buyers usually want three things from the site: to know exactly what a product is, to see the pack before buying, and to ask a question in their own language. Design the home page around those needs with search, category tiles and a WhatsApp button, rather than a slider of offers.
How do you separate Ayurvedic foods, supplements and medicines on the site?
Create separate categories for each regulatory type, and label each product page with its category. This helps buyers and keeps you from describing a food as if it were a medicine.
| Category | What it covers | Words on the pack to show online |
|---|---|---|
| Ayurveda Aahara | Food made to recipes or processes in the authoritative Ayurveda books listed in the regulations | AYURVEDA AAHARA, the logo, ONLY FOR DIETARY USE |
| Health supplements and nutraceuticals | Concentrated sources of nutrients such as proteins, vitamins, minerals and amino acids | HEALTH SUPPLEMENT or NUTRACEUTICAL, NOT FOR MEDICINAL USE |
| Ordinary foods | Minimally processed items such as amla, jamun or turmeric powder | Normal food label declarations |
| Ayurvedic medicines | Ayurvedic drugs and proprietary medicines | Regulated separately as drugs; check before selling online |
Sources: the Food Safety and Standards (Ayurveda Aahara) Regulations, 2022, notified on 5 May 2022, exclude Ayurvedic drugs and proprietary Ayurvedic medicines and require the AYURVEDA AAHARA words and logo on the front of the pack with the warning ONLY FOR DIETARY USE. FSSAI's Nutraceutical Regulations, 2022 say minimally processed foods such as amla, jamun and turmeric do not count as health supplements, and that products under them cannot be drugs under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
This post covers food products. If you stock Ayurvedic medicines, ask a regulatory consultant whether and how you may sell them online; this is not legal advice.
What wellness claims are allowed?
Stick to what the label says and never claim to treat, cure or prevent a disease. Wellness copy is where most stores slip, because traditional phrases often sound medical.
Under FSSAI's Nutraceutical Regulations, 2022, supplements may not claim to treat, cure, mitigate or prevent a specific disease unless the Food Authority permits it. Structure, function or general well-being statements may be allowed if supported by generally accepted scientific data, and other claims need FSSAI's prior approval. For Ayurveda Aahara, the Ministry of Ayush and FSSAI said health claims and disease-risk-reduction claims follow the approval process set out in the regulations.
FSSAI's December 2024 advisory adds that claims online must be fully aligned with the product's physical label. If the pack does not say it, the website should not either.
- Avoid words such as cures, treats, heals or prevents next to a condition name.
- Avoid before-and-after stories that imply a medical result.
- Use the product's intended purpose and usage exactly as printed.
The same care applies to banners, social posts and WhatsApp broadcasts that link to the store. A seasonal offer can mention the product, pack size and usage, but should not suggest that a herbal food protects against an illness going around. Check unusual claims with the brand or a consultant before you publish them; this is not legal advice.
How should product pages present herbal and wellness products?
Show the pack clearly, list the ingredients and repeat the declarations in text. FSSAI's e-commerce rules ask for a legible picture of the principal display panel and the mandatory food information before purchase, and for sellers to display their FSSAI licence or registration.
- Front and back label photos, with the Ayurveda Aahara logo or supplement wording visible.
- Manufacturer or packer, country of origin, net quantity, MRP, unit sale price, best-before and consumer care, as listed in the Legal Metrology declarations.
- Ingredients with both common Hindi and English names.
- Intended purpose, target group and recommended duration of use where the label gives them.
- Warnings and storage advice from the pack.
Use your own photos of the actual packs you stock, on a plain background, and update them when a brand changes its label. Add a line saying that the batch number and expiry are printed on the pack the customer receives, so buyers know what to check on delivery.
How should a Panipat store use Hindi and English?
Use English for structure and Hindi where buyers think in Hindi: ingredient names, categories and buying guides. Many wellness buyers search for amla, giloy or haldi rather than their English names.
- Show both names in product titles where it is natural.
- Add Hindi synonyms to site search so either spelling finds the product.
- Write a few Hindi buying guides for common questions at the counter.
- Use a Google Business Profile with your real signboard name; Google's guidelines let a staffed store also set a delivery service area.
Keep the translation honest. Do not translate a label claim into a stronger Hindi phrase, and do not add traditional health promises in Hindi that the English label does not make.
Our website development in Panipat page covers local search setup, and gym website design in Panipat shows how gyms in the same market present themselves.
How should a Panipat wellness store handle reviews and testimonials?
Publish only genuine reviews, and do not use testimonials as a back door for medical claims. The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 bar an inventory seller from posing as a consumer to post reviews or misrepresenting the quality or features of goods.
- Ask for reviews only after delivery, through a link in the WhatsApp or SMS update.
- Do not edit reviews to sound better, and do not hide critical ones that are fair.
- Do not feature reviews claiming a product cured an illness; a food or supplement may not make that claim, and showing it in a banner works like one.
- Get written permission before showing a customer's name or photo.
Reviews about delivery speed, packing and service are useful and safe to highlight. They also build the trust a new store needs.
How do local delivery and pickup work across Panipat district?
Run delivery zones by tehsil, keep a pickup option and pack carefully. NH-44 makes Samalkha and the city easy to serve, while Israna, Bapoli and Madlauda may suit fixed weekly runs.
- List PIN codes by tehsil: Panipat, Samalkha, Israna, Bapoli and Madlauda.
- Set cut-off times and delivery days you can keep.
- Check expiry: food delivered online must have at least 30 percent or 45 days of shelf life left.
- Deliver food and non-food items such as soaps or oils for skin separately, as FSSAI's 2024 advisory asks.
- Offer cash on delivery and UPI, with WhatsApp order updates.
Before launch, also add the seller details the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 expect: legal name, address, customer care, a grievance officer who acknowledges complaints within 48 hours and resolves them within one month, and clear return and refund terms. Our e-commerce checklist lists the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Ayurveda Aahara and how should my website show it?
Ayurveda Aahara is a food category under FSSAI's 2022 regulations for food made to recipes or processes in listed authoritative Ayurveda books. Packs carry the words AYURVEDA AAHARA, a logo on the front and the warning ONLY FOR DIETARY USE. Show clear label photos and keep those words visible on the product page.
Can I sell Ayurvedic medicines on the same website?
Ayurvedic drugs and proprietary Ayurvedic medicines are excluded from the Ayurveda Aahara and nutraceutical food regulations and are regulated separately as drugs. Before listing any medicine online, ask a regulatory consultant what licence and conditions apply. Keep medicines in a separate category from foods and supplements. This is not legal advice.
Can my product pages say a herbal product boosts immunity?
Only if the product's label makes that claim lawfully. FSSAI says online claims must be fully aligned with the physical label, and supplements may not claim to treat or prevent disease unless permitted. Copy the intended purpose and usage from the pack and avoid adding your own health promises in descriptions or banners.
Is amla powder a health supplement?
Not usually, in its plain form. FSSAI's 2022 nutraceutical regulations say minimally processed foods, with amla, jamun and turmeric among the examples, do not count as health supplements or nutraceuticals. List them as ordinary food products with the normal label declarations, and describe them plainly without medical claims.
Which areas around Panipat should my delivery pages cover?
Cover the places you really serve, often grouped by tehsil: Panipat city, Samalkha, Israna, Bapoli and Madlauda. Give each zone real delivery days, cut-off times and a pickup option. Pages with genuine local details help buyers and search engines more than copies with only the town name changed.
