Jhajjar

Made for a Murrah district.

Jhajjar district has 180,527 buffaloes and 62,593 cattle, according to the provisional summary of the 20th Livestock Census (2019) published by Haryana's Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department. The Tribune lists Jhajjar among the centres of the pure Murrah breed, known for milk with six to seven per cent fat, and reported in 2019 that around 80 per cent of the roughly 86 lakh tonnes of milk Haryana produces in a year comes from buffaloes.

Haryana's dairy cooperatives follow a three-tier system: milk producers' societies at the village level, milk unions at the district level and the Haryana Dairy Development Co-operative Federation (Vita) at the state level. The Cooperation Department says over one lakh farmers are associated with Vita through 3,514 milk cooperative societies. NDDB's Dairy Knowledge Portal describes the society's daily work as collecting milk twice a day, testing it for fat and lactometer reading, keeping standard registers and paying suppliers regularly. IGNOU course material notes that the National Commission on Agriculture recommended two-axis pricing, with a pre-set rate for fat and for solids-not-fat (SNF).

Our branch is in Kasni, in Jhajjar district, and our main office is in Sector 84, Gurgaon, so we can come to your centre at collection time and see how entries, testing and slips are done today. The app applies the rate chart and rules your society, union or plant gives you. It does not set milk prices.

What makes milk collection different

  • Milk comes in twice a day, so every entry belongs to a date and a morning or evening shift
  • The rate depends on quality, not only litres: FAT and SNF, often worked out from the CLR (corrected lactometer reading), decide what a farmer earns
  • Cow and buffalo milk often have separate rate charts, and charts can change with the season
  • Farmers are paid on a cycle, often every 10 days or monthly, after advances and cattle-feed are deducted
  • Village centres often have weak mobile signal, so entries must save without internet

FAQs

Milk Collection App in Jhajjar — FAQs.

Straight answers to what Jhajjar business owners ask before they start.

Have another question?

Call or WhatsApp — Mon–Sat, 9 AM – 7 PM.

Will the app work at the centre without internet?

Yes. It can be built to save every entry on the device first and sync to the cloud when a signal is available. Slips can still be printed offline; SMS and WhatsApp messages go out once the device is back online.

Can it read our milk analyser and weighing scale directly?

It depends on the device model. Many analysers and scales send readings over a cable or Bluetooth, and where the model allows it we connect them so values are not typed by hand. Where it does not, the tester enters the readings and the app checks them.

How does the app calculate the rate?

From the rate chart you load. It can follow a fat-only chart or a two-axis FAT and SNF chart, with SNF taken from the analyser or worked out from CLR and fat using the formula your union or plant uses. The rates themselves are set by you or your plant, not by the app.

Can the screens be in Hindi?

Yes. Screens, slips and reports can be in Hindi, with English where you prefer it.

How are advances and cattle-feed deductions handled?

Each advance or item given to a farmer is recorded with date and amount. At the end of the 10-day or monthly cycle the app deducts it from the milk amount and shows the balance on the farmer's statement.

Can farmers be paid through UPI or bank transfer?

Yes. The app prepares a payment list with each farmer's net amount and bank or UPI details. Payment is made through your bank, and the reference is recorded against the cycle. Direct bank integration depends on what your bank offers.

How is farmers' personal data protected?

Names, phone numbers and bank details are personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Your dairy or society decides why the data is collected and must keep it safe; the app helps with separate logins, access logs and encrypted backups. This is general information, not legal advice.

Who owns the app and the data?

Your data always belongs to you. For an app built for your dairy, the source code is handed over when the project is complete, so you are not tied to one vendor.
