Key takeaways

  • A Gurgaon clinic website should help a patient choose you, find you and request an appointment within a minute, on a phone.
  • The 2023 NMC conduct regulations were put on hold in August 2023, so the 2002 ethics regulations still guide what doctors may publish: no solicitation, no boasting of cures.
  • Appointment forms collect personal data, so plan a clear notice and consent now; the core DPDP Rules duties start 18 months after 13 November 2025.
  • Local search in Gurgaon works sector by sector: one strong location page, a correct Google Business Profile and metro or landmark directions.

What should a clinic website in Gurgaon actually do?

A clinic website in Gurgaon has three jobs: help a patient decide your clinic suits their problem, show them how to reach you, and let them request an appointment in under a minute. Colours, animations and stock photos only matter if they serve those three jobs.

Gurgaon is a planned city of numbered sectors about 30 km south-west of New Delhi, and it is known as a hub for IT, consulting and medical tourism. That mix shapes who lands on a clinic site here: office staff searching between meetings, families in residential sectors, and patients from other cities who have been referred to Gurgaon for treatment.

For most dental, eye, physiotherapy, paediatric and general clinics, good clinic website design in Gurgaon means:

  • Mobile first: most patients will see your site on a phone, often while travelling.
  • One clear line on what you treat: "Dental clinic for adults and children in Sector 56" beats a slogan.
  • Practical details at the top: timings, sector and landmark, a map, a call button and a WhatsApp button.
  • English first, Hindi where it helps: a Hindi version of the location, timings and first-visit pages serves older patients and family members.
  • Fast, light pages: compressed photos, no auto-playing video, nothing that hides the phone number.

Who searches for a clinic in Gurgaon, and from where?

Patients search by area and commute, so design for the sectors and routes around your clinic rather than for "Gurgaon" as a whole. A city of more than a hundred sectors needs directions that a stranger can follow.

The city's main business areas include Cyber City, MG Road, Sector 29 and Udyog Vihar, with New Gurgaon, Manesar and Sohna as growing neighbours. The Yellow Line stops at Guru Dronacharya, Sikanderpur, MG Road, IFFCO Chowk and Millennium City Centre, and the Rapid Metro runs from Cyber City through the DLF phases and down Golf Course Road to the Sector 55-56 station. The Dwarka Expressway, fully open since June 2025, runs past sectors 83 to 86 and 99 to 113 in New Gurgaon.

Patient groupWhere they areWhat your design should give them
Office staffCyber City, Udyog Vihar, MG Road, Sector 29Early and late slots shown first, nearest metro station, a quick WhatsApp request
Families in established sectorsDLF phases, Golf Course Road sectors along the Rapid MetroChildren's and family services, parking details, weekend timings
New Gurgaon householdsSectors along the Dwarka ExpresswayDirections from the expressway, a Hindi option, home sample collection only if you offer it
Referred patients from outsideArriving from other citiesDoctor credentials, what to bring, how to reach the clinic from the airport or station

Write the nearest metro station and a well-known landmark next to your address. "Sector 54" alone does not tell a first-time patient which road, tower or gate to look for.

Which pages does a Gurgaon clinic website need?

Most single-location clinics need eight or nine focused pages, each answering one question a patient has before booking. More pages only help if each one has real, useful content.

PageWhat it containsDesign note
HomeWhat you treat, timings, sector, appointment and WhatsApp buttonsKeep the phone number visible on every scroll
Doctor profilesName, recognised degrees, registration number and State Medical Council, areas of practiceFactual tone; no rankings or superlatives
ServicesOne page per service: what it is, who it suits, what to expect, how to prepareExplain, do not promise outcomes
First visitDocuments to bring, how billing works, insurance only if you really accept itShort answers in plain language
Location and timingsMap, sector, landmark, metro, parking, holiday hoursHindi version helps here
Appointment requestShort form plus a WhatsApp optionClear note on what happens next
Health articlesCommon questions, written or reviewed by a named doctorDate and reviewer shown

The same structure sits behind most website development projects in Gurgaon for service businesses; for a clinic the difference is the care needed on the doctor, service and appointment pages, covered below.

What can a doctor's website say under Indian medical ethics rules?

Keep a doctor's website factual: who you are, your recognised qualifications, registration, services, timings and how fees work. Leave out anything that solicits patients, praises your own skill or boasts of cures.

First, which rules apply. The NMC notified the Registered Medical Practitioner (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 2023 in August 2023, then on 23 August 2023 held them in abeyance and adopted the 2002 regulations with immediate effect. We could not find any later notification that brings the 2023 regulations into force, so the Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002 remain the reference. Check nmc.org.in before you publish.

Points from the 2002 regulations that shape a clinic website:

  • No solicitation (6.1.1): soliciting patients directly or indirectly, by a doctor, a group or an institution, is unethical.
  • No self-praise (6.1.1): publicity that invites attention to your skill, achievements or honours is not allowed, so drop "best doctor in Gurgaon" and "No.1 clinic".
  • No boasting of cases or cures (6.1.1): this is why patient testimonials and "success stories" do not belong on a doctor's site.
  • Registration and degrees (1.4.1, 1.4.2): display your registration number, and only recognised degrees after your name.
  • Patient photos (7.17): no identifiable photos or case reports without the patient's permission.
  • Specialist claims (7.20): do not call yourself a specialist without a special qualification in that branch.

The Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 adds a second line: it bars advertisements that make false claims or give a false impression about a drug, and advertising remedies for the diseases in its Schedule, which includes conditions such as cancer, diabetes and obesity. So no "cure diabetes" headlines.

This is general information, not legal advice. When a page feels borderline, check with your State Medical Council or a lawyer before it goes live.

How should a Gurgaon clinic handle appointment forms and patient data?

Ask only for what you need to book, tell patients why you need it, and keep it secure. A form submission is digital personal data under the DPDP Act, 2023, and health details deserve extra care.

The DPDP Rules, 2025 were notified on 13 November 2025. Under Rule 1, the duties on notice, security safeguards and breach intimation come into force 18 months after publication. The notice must be in clear and plain language with an itemised description of the data and its purpose, withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it, and a breach must be reported to the Data Protection Board with details within 72 hours.

  1. Keep the form short: name, phone, preferred date and time, doctor or service. Make "reason for visit" optional.
  2. Add an unticked consent box with a two-line notice and a link to the privacy page.
  3. Send submissions to a protected clinic inbox or system, not a staff member's personal email.
  4. Tell patients that the WhatsApp button opens a chat with the clinic's number, and avoid asking for reports over chat unless they choose to send them.
  5. Decide how long enquiries are kept, and delete old ones on a schedule.
  6. Name a person patients can contact about their data.

How do you design for "clinic near me" searches across Gurgaon's sectors?

Pair a correctly set-up Google Business Profile with one strong location page, and add area pages only where you genuinely serve patients. Thin pages for every sector do more harm than good.

  • Practitioner and clinic profiles: Google's guidelines let individual practitioners have their own profile, and say that where several practitioners work at one location, the organisation should have a separate profile for that location. Keep keywords out of the business name.
  • Appointment link: a Business Profile can carry appointment links; point it at your appointment page.
  • Location page: map, full address with sector and landmark, metro station, parking and hours, marked up with MedicalClinic structured data.
  • Area pages: a page such as "physiotherapy near Golf Course Road" is worth it only with real content: directions, travel time and timings that suit that area.
  • Reviews: Google prohibits incentivised reviews and selectively asking for positive ones. Given the ethics rule on solicitation, keep any review request low-key, and do not republish reviews as testimonials on your site.

What design details build trust on a medical website?

Show who stands behind every page. Google's helpful content guidance treats health as a "Your Money or Your Life" topic, says trust is the most important part of E-E-A-T, and asks whether pages carry bylines that lead to more about the author.

  • Byline and "medically reviewed by" line with the doctor's qualification and the review date on every article.
  • Registration number and State Medical Council on each doctor profile.
  • Real photos of the clinic, reception and equipment; never stock faces presented as your patients.
  • Readable text size, strong contrast and large tap targets for older patients.
  • A visible note that the site is not for emergencies and that patients should go to the nearest emergency department.
  • No pop-ups that cover the call or WhatsApp buttons.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a doctor in Gurgaon put patient testimonials on the clinic website?

It is best not to. The 2002 ethics regulations, which still apply because the 2023 NMC regulations are in abeyance, say a doctor must not boast of cases, operations, cures or remedies or permit reports of them to be published. Testimonials and success stories fall squarely into that area. Share factual information about services instead. This is general information, not legal advice.

Which pages matter most on a Gurgaon clinic website?

The home page, doctor profiles, service pages, location and timings, and the appointment page do most of the work. Patients want to know what you treat, who will see them, where you are and how to book. In Gurgaon, adding the nearest metro station and a landmark to the location page saves many confused calls.

Should my clinic website be in Hindi as well as English?

For most Gurgaon clinics, English should lead, because many patients search in English. A Hindi version of the location, timings, first-visit and appointment pages helps older patients and family members who book on someone's behalf. Keep both versions accurate and equally up to date, and link between them clearly.

Do I need a separate Google Business Profile for each doctor?

Google lets individual practitioners have their own profile, and says a location with several practitioners should also have its own profile for the organisation. A solo doctor may only need one. A multi-doctor clinic usually has a clinic profile plus profiles for doctors who see patients publicly there. Never add keywords to the business name.

Does the DPDP Act affect my clinic's appointment form?

Yes. Names, phone numbers and reasons for a visit are personal data. The DPDP Rules were notified on 13 November 2025, and the duties on notice, security and breach reporting start 18 months later. Collect the minimum, explain why in plain language, secure the inbox and delete old enquiries. This is not legal advice.
