Mundahera
One house, many families.
Big houses are common in villages like Mundahera: brothers and their families under one roof, a ground floor with the baithak, an upper floor added when a son married, a separate entrance for the cattle and a gate wide enough for the tractor. Jhajjar district is still largely rural, with about 78 per cent of its 958,405 people living outside towns at the 2011 Census, according to Wikipedia's district article, and many of those households sit on large plots rather than in flats. A house like that does not need one camera. It needs a system.
The design questions change with size. Where does the recorder go so that it is safe but reachable? Which cameras should every family member see, and which only the head of the house? How many days of recording are needed when a dozen cameras run day and night? For houses this size we usually suggest IP cameras on a network video recorder, a dedicated recorder that stores video from networked cameras on a disk. With Power over Ethernet each camera takes its power and its data over one cable, which keeps the runs across floors and courtyards neat.
Backup power matters more as the system grows. Cameras, the NVR and the internet router all have to stay on through a cut, so they should be connected to the house inverter or a dedicated UPS, which takes over almost instantly when the mains fails. For families who already keep a Windows PC at home, DVM VigiCore, our own video management software, records up to four IP cameras free, and writes its recordings so that a sudden power cut costs only the last moment of video rather than the whole file.

FAQs
CCTV Camera Installation in Mundahera — FAQs.
Straight answers to what Mundahera families and shopkeepers ask before they start.
Who installs CCTV in Mundahera, Jhajjar?
DVM Techno installs CCTV cameras in Mundahera from its branch office in Kasni, in the same part of Jhajjar district. We fit HD cameras with a DVR, IP cameras with an NVR, colour night-vision, WiFi and PTZ cameras, and set up live view on your family's phones. Every job starts with a free site survey and a written quote. Call or WhatsApp +91-8448523313, Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM.
How do all the family members see the cameras on their phones?
Each person installs the camera app on their own phone and it is linked to the recorder at the house, which we do at handover. Most recorders let you create separate users, so the head of the house can see every camera while others see only the ones that concern them. Everyone can watch over mobile data from wherever they are.
How many cameras does a big village house need?
Count every way in and every open space: each gate, each courtyard, the stairs, the roof, the parking and the cattle area. A two-storey joint-family house with two gates can easily need eight or more. The site survey gives you a camera-by-camera list instead of a guess.
Will the CCTV keep recording when the power goes?
Only if it is on backup. With many cameras the load on the inverter or UPS is larger, so the backup has to be planned along with the cameras rather than added later. We list the recorder, router and cameras that need backed-up power in the written plan.
How many days of recording can we keep?
That depends on the hard disk, the number of cameras, the picture quality and whether they record all the time or on motion. More cameras fill a disk faster, and when it is full the oldest footage is overwritten. Tell us how far back you want to look, and we size the storage for it.
Should we choose IP cameras or HD cameras with a DVR?
HD analogue cameras on a DVR record at 720p to 1080p and suit homes on a tight budget. IP cameras on an NVR record at 2MP to 8MP, up to 4K, with the sharpest detail and digital zoom, which is why we suggest them for new installations in large houses. WiFi cameras and cloud cameras, whose footage is viewed and stored through the maker's cloud app, fill in rooms or outbuildings where a cable is hard to run. Brands we install include Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, Uniview, Prama, Honeywell and Bosch.
Can we add cameras when the house is extended?
Yes, if the recorder has free channels. Mention any plans for a new floor, a shop or a separate building during the survey, and we will choose a recorder with room for them.
Do we need DVM VigiCore?
No, it is optional. Most homes use a standalone NVR or DVR. VigiCore suits families who already keep a Windows 10 or 11 PC at home and use IP cameras: it records up to four cameras free and runs its detection on the PC, without a cloud account.
