Key takeaways
- Give each treatment its own page, covering implants, braces, aligners, root canal treatment and children's dentistry, with the stages, aftercare and the dentist who provides it.
- The Dentists Act, 1948 was reported repealed on 19 March 2026, but the 2014 dental ethics code stays in force until the National Dental Commission replaces it, and its ethics board reportedly warned against testimonials and before-and-after photos on 14 October 2026.
- An emergency dental page should show only the hours you really answer, a call button and first steps your dentist has approved.
- Braces enquiries often come from parents, so keep forms short, explain how data is used and keep ad-tracking pixels off pages aimed at children.
- Target DLF phases, Golf Course Road, Sohna Road and New Gurgaon through one strong location page with real directions, not a copied page for every sector.

What does a dental clinic website in Gurgaon need that a general clinic site does not?
A dental clinic website in Gurgaon has to explain treatments that run across several visits, help patients in sudden pain, and speak to parents booking for their children, all on a phone screen. It must answer how many visits a treatment takes and who does the work.
Some dental decisions are planned, like an implant versus a bridge, or braces for a 13-year-old; others are urgent, like a broken tooth on a Saturday night. For the pages every clinic shares, see our clinic website guide for Gurgaon.
| Patient question | Page that answers it | What to include |
|---|---|---|
| "Can a missing tooth be replaced?" | Dental implants | Stages at your clinic, healing as your dentist describes it, alternatives such as bridges |
| "Does my child need braces?" | Braces and aligners | Who assesses, when to bring a child in, fixed braces versus clear aligners |
| "My tooth broke and it hurts." | Emergency dental care | Hours you answer, a call button, approved first steps |
| "Is root canal treatment painful?" | Root canal treatment | Each sitting, anaesthesia, the crown afterwards |
| "Is this clinic clean?" | Sterilisation | Real photos of the sterilisation area and the process |
| "How do I reach you?" | Location | Map, landmark, entrance photo, parking, metro or road route |
Which dental ethics rules apply to a dentist's website in 2026?
The Revised Dentists (Code of Ethics) Regulations, 2014 still set the rules, even though the Dental Council of India no longer exists. A website with factual information is allowed; self-praise, superiority claims and boasting of cases are not.
The National Dental Commission Act was reported to have come into force on 19 March 2026, repealing the Dentists Act, 1948 and dissolving the Dental Council of India. Section 59(2) of the Act keeps the rules and regulations made under the old Act in force until new ones are specified, so the 2014 code continues to apply. On 14 October 2026, the Commission's Ethics and Dental Registration Board was reported to have issued an advisory against recording and broadcasting consultations and procedures, publishing patient testimonials and before-and-after photographs, misleading treatment claims and self-aggrandising publicity, citing clauses 8.1 to 8.3 of that code.
| Allowed on a dental website | Avoid |
|---|---|
| Factual treatment details, and fees if you choose (clause 8.2.9) | Statements that are not factual and could mislead (clause 8.2.9) |
| Recognised dental degrees after the dentist's name (clause 3.4.2) | A specialist title without a Council-recognised qualification in that specialty (clause 8.3.3) |
| Announcing new equipment or services (clause 8.2.7) | Boastful superlatives about them (clause 8.2.7) |
| Sketches, diagrams and pictures of the human system (clause 8.3.1) | Boasting of cases, operations or cures, or letting reports of them be published (clause 8.2) |
| Internet listings as public information (clause 8.2.8) | Any claim to superiority or special skills over others (clause 8.2.8) |
| Plain explanations written or reviewed by your dentist | Testimonials, before-and-after photos and filmed procedures (October 2026 advisory) |
This is general information, not legal advice. The Commission may notify new ethics regulations, so check its notices or ask your State Dental Council about anything borderline.
How should a Gurgaon dental website explain implants, braces and aligners?
Write each treatment page as a plain explanation a patient can read before the first visit, then name the dentist who provides it, with recognised qualifications.
- What it is: one short paragraph and a diagram, not a stock smile.
- Who it may suit: and when it may not; implants, for example, depend on bone and gum health checked at assessment.
- Stages at your clinic: consultation, X-ray or scan, procedure, healing and follow-up, written by your dentist.
- Alternatives and aftercare: bridges or dentures beside implants, aligners beside fixed braces, retainers afterwards.
- Who treats you: use "orthodontist" or another specialist title only if the dentist holds the Council-recognised qualification in that specialty.
On fees, the code is more open than many owners expect: clause 8.2.9 lets websites carry treatment fees, and clause 5.7.1 asks clinics to estimate all likely costs. If you prefer not to publish fees, explain what changes an estimate, such as the number of teeth, the implant or aligner type and any extraction first, and give it in writing after examination. Skip discount-led offers; clause 8.1.3 treats publicity promising inducements and rebates as unethical.
Never present stock or AI-generated smiles as your patients' results. Use diagrams and real photos of your rooms and equipment.
What should an emergency dental page say?
It should tell a patient in pain, within seconds, whether you can see them and how to reach you. Honest hours matter more than design here.
- Put a call button and your real emergency hours at the top. Write "24 hours" only if someone truly answers at 3 AM.
- List the problems you see urgently, such as severe toothache, a knocked-out tooth, a lost crown or facial swelling.
- Give first steps your dentist has approved, for example how to carry a knocked-out tooth to the clinic.
- Say plainly, in your dentist's words, when to go to a hospital emergency department instead.
- Show which gate or entrance is open after hours, and where to park.
Keep these hours identical to your Google Business Profile, including holiday hours, so a patient searching on a Sunday does not drive to a closed door.
How should appointment requests and patient forms handle personal data?
Collect only what you need to book, explain why, and take extra care with children's data, because braces and children's dentistry enquiries often come from parents.
The DPDP Rules, 2025 were notified on 13 November 2025, and under Rule 1 the rules on notice, security, breach reporting and children's data apply eighteen months later. The Fourth Schedule exempts clinics and healthcare professionals from Section 9's parental-consent and child-tracking provisions only when processing is restricted to providing health services to the child. Marketing is not covered.
- Appointment request: name, phone, preferred time and treatment; keep "describe the problem" optional.
- Child patients: take the parent's name and phone as the contact.
- Uploads: leave X-ray uploads off the public form unless files are stored securely and deleted on schedule.
- Tracking: keep remarketing pixels off children's dentistry and teen braces pages, since Section 9(3) of the DPDP Act bars tracking and targeted advertising directed at children.
- Routing: send forms to a protected clinic inbox, not a personal phone, and do not ask for medical history on WhatsApp.
This is not legal advice. A clinic with several branches should have a lawyer review its privacy notice.
How should a dental clinic target Gurgaon sectors without thin pages?
Build one strong location page per branch that describes the real routes patients use, instead of copying the same page for every sector or housing society.
Gurgaon is divided into 115 sectors, and patients describe where they live by sector, road or metro stop. The Rapid Metro links Sikanderpur with Cyber City and DLF Phases 1, 2 and 3, and its second phase runs mostly along Golf Course Road, with stations at Sectors 42-43, 53-54, 54 Chowk and 55-56. The Sohna Elevated Corridor on NH 248A runs from Rajiv Chowk towards Sohna, and the Dwarka Expressway passes fast-developing New Gurgaon sectors such as 83, 84, 85 and 86.
| Area | What patients there ask | What the location page should answer |
|---|---|---|
| DLF Phases 1 to 3 and Cyber City | Can I come before or after work? | Early and late slots, nearest Rapid Metro station |
| Golf Course Road sectors | Which tower, and where do I park? | Entrance photo, parking note, Rapid Metro stop |
| Sohna Road and Golf Course Extension Road | Is the drive worth it at peak hours? | Which side of the road you are on, a flyover landmark |
| New Gurgaon, Sectors 83 to 86 | Is there a dentist close to home? | Drive times from nearby sectors, weekend and children's slots |
| Old Gurgaon | Can my parents read this in Hindi? | Hindi timings and directions, step-free access |
- Google's Business Profile guidelines allow a profile for an individual practitioner and a separate one for a multi-practitioner location. Keep the clinic's real name, without keywords.
- Choose categories that match the dentists who actually practise there, the principle clause 8.3.3 applies to signboards.
- Mention an area only where patients really travel from. Our local SEO service for Gurgaon clinics covers profiles and citations.
What trust signals should a Gurgaon dental website show?
Show who treats patients, how instruments are cleaned, and that every health article has been checked by a registered dentist.
- Dentist profiles: recognised degrees (clause 3.4.2) and the State Dental Council registration number, which clause 3.4.1 already requires in the clinic and on prescriptions.
- Bylines: Google's helpful content guidance asks whether content shows who wrote it, so add a dated "reviewed by" line to every article.
- Sterilisation and photos: real photos of the sterilisation area, treatment rooms and X-ray unit; never stock faces presented as patients.
- Structured data: the schema.org Dentist type, with details matching your Business Profile.
- Accessibility: large tap targets and readable, high-contrast text for older patients.
These suit any platform; our page on website development in Gurgaon covers the build choices.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a dental clinic in Gurgaon show before-and-after photos on its website?
Leave them off. The 2014 dental ethics code bars boasting of cases or cures and permitting reports of them, and a reported October 2026 National Dental Commission advisory names testimonials and before-and-after photographs specifically. Use diagrams, which clause 8.3.1 allows, and explain treatments factually instead. This is general information, not legal advice.
Do the old Dental Council of India ethics rules still apply?
Yes, for now. The National Dental Commission Act was reported to have come into force on 19 March 2026, and Section 59(2) keeps the regulations made under the Dentists Act, 1948 in force until new ones are specified. The Revised Dentists (Code of Ethics) Regulations, 2014 therefore still guide dental advertising. Check the Commission's notices for any replacement regulations.
Can a dental website list fees for implants or braces?
The 2014 code allows it: clause 8.2.9 says websites may carry treatment facilities and their fees. Whether you publish them is your choice. If you do, keep them complete and current. If not, explain what changes the estimate and give it in writing after examination. Avoid discount offers that read as inducements.
Should my dental clinic have a page for every Gurgaon sector?
No. Near-identical sector pages add little and can look thin. Build one detailed location page per branch, then mention the areas your patients actually come from, such as DLF phases, Golf Course Road, Sohna Road or New Gurgaon sectors, with real directions, metro stops, parking notes and hours.
What should a braces enquiry form ask when the patient is a child?
Ask for the parent's name and phone, the child's age if your dentist needs it, a preferred day and time, and an optional note. Add a short notice on how the details are used. Keep advertising pixels off children's pages, because the DPDP Act bars targeted advertising directed at children. This is not legal advice.
