Dhakla
Dhakla is one of the larger villages in our area. Wikipedia, citing the 2011 Census, puts its population at 4,333 and lists a Community Health Centre, CHC Dhakla, with a state government ambulance, two government schools and a private school. The village is about 15.5 km from Kosli railway station and 21 km from Jhajjar's, and its PIN code is 124109. People who come in to the health centre and the schools keep the counters around them busy: medical stores, kiryana shops, mobile and recharge shops, tailors and sweet shops.
Almost every one of those counters now takes UPI. Wikipedia describes the Unified Payments Interface as a system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India and regulated by the Reserve Bank of India, piloted in April 2016, in which each bank account gets a UPI ID and its own QR code. In August 2025 it handled about 20 billion transactions worth around 25 trillion rupees. For a shop, the weak point is rarely the customer's phone. It is the shopkeeper's side, where the merchant app or the billing software has to stay online through the evening rush to confirm what has actually been paid.
Billing apps and GST invoicing software on a counter PC or tablet save invoices, stock and the day's sales to the cloud, and catch up after a drop. WhatsApp Business catalogues, order messages and voice notes from regular customers add a steady stream of photos and short videos. A counter camera watched from the owner's phone adds live video on top. On a mobile hotspot all of this competes for one daily allowance; on broadband with no FUP it simply keeps running. FAQs
Straight answers to what Dhakla families and shopkeepers ask before they start.
DVM Techno, from its Kasni branch, provides wireless broadband in Dhakla for shops and homes. A small antenna on the roof receives the signal over the air and the router inside gives WiFi to the counter, phones and other devices. A free signal survey comes first; call or WhatsApp +91-8448523313.
Basic 30 Mbps is 400 rupees a month and Starter 50 Mbps is 600 rupees a month, GST included. Standard 100 Mbps and Premium 200 Mbps are priced by phone or WhatsApp. Data is unlimited and the antenna and router are installed at no charge.
No. Every plan comes without a fair usage policy or monthly cap, so a busy month of payments, catalogue photos and CCTV viewing does not slow the shop's line.
About 2 to 3 hours after the survey confirms the signal. Most villages are connected the same day.
No landline and no outside cable. The signal reaches the antenna over the air, and only an indoor cable runs from the antenna to the router.
UPI itself needs very little data, but the shop's merchant app, billing software and payment confirmations all need the device to stay online. A WiFi line with no data cap removes the risk of a hotspot running dry in the middle of the day; keep mobile data on the phone as a backup.
Yes. A billing PC or tablet, the UPI phone, a CCTV recorder and the family's phones can all share one router. If cameras will be watched from outside, mention it at the survey so the plan has room for the upload.
A kiryana, medical or mobile shop with one counter usually runs well on Basic 30 Mbps. If the family at home shares the connection, or several cameras are viewed remotely, Starter 50 Mbps gives more headroom.
