- ICAI's Code of Ethics, 2026 (13th edition) applies from 1 April 2026, and its para 3.3 sets out what a CA firm website may contain.
- Services exclusively reserved for CAs, such as audit and attestation, may be shown only on a specific 'pull' request.
- The Code permits a client document portal with distinct logins, and online advice to clients who specifically ask for it.
- Local visibility should come from accurate listings and useful explainers, not ads, testimonials or 'best CA' claims.

What should a CA firm website in Rohtak do?
Good CA website design in Rohtak gives people already looking for a chartered accountant accurate facts: who you are, where your office is, what you do and how to reach you. It informs; it does not sell. Chartered accountants work under rules that bar solicitation and restrict advertising.
Rohtak's client base is broad. The Shouri Cloth Market alone has more than 1,200 wholesale and retail shops serving buyers from Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, according to The Tribune, and the paper describes Quila Road as one of the oldest and busiest commercial areas of the city. The Industrial Model Township hosts large automotive, paint and dairy manufacturers, according to Rohtak's Wikipedia entry, and MDU and PGIMS employ many salaried professionals.
The rules come from Clauses (6) and (7) of Part I of the First Schedule to the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, applied through Chapter 3 of the ICAI Code of Ethics, 2026 (Volume I). ICAI announced this 13th edition on 30 May 2026 and says it applies from 1 April 2026.
This post summarises ICAI's published guidelines as we read them. It is not legal or professional advice; refer doubts to ICAI's Ethical Standards Board.
What may a Rohtak CA website show under the 2026 Code?
Para 3.3.7 of the Code lists the particulars a firm may display, and it doubles as your content plan. The Code does not prescribe a format (para 3.3.2), so the design is yours as long as the content stays within the list.
| Permitted particular (para 3.3) | How a Rohtak firm might use it |
|---|---|
| Firm name, year of establishment, head office and branch addresses, phone, email | Header, footer and a contact page with directions |
| Peer Review status and AQMM level | About page, stated as a fact |
| Nature of services rendered | Short pages on GST, accounting, income tax and business advisory |
| Exclusive services, only on specific pull request | A separate audit and attestation page the visitor opens by choice |
| Partners: qualifications, year of qualification, area of experience, contact | Team page with passport-style photographs (para 3.3.9) |
| Employees, articled assistants, job and articleship vacancies | Careers page for local commerce graduates |
| Client names and nature of assignment, only with client permission; fees cannot be given | Usually best left out by a small-town practice |
| Blogs, articles and educational videos (para 3.3.10) | Hindi and English explainers for traders |
| Links to ICAI, its regional councils and branches, and government sites (para 3.3.18) | A useful-links page |
The information must not be at material variance from ICAI's records (para 3.3.21), so check partner names, qualifications and office addresses against what the Institute holds before launch. Partners may also mention current or past elected positions in ICAI's Central Council, regional councils or branches (para 3.3.19).
What must a Rohtak CA website leave out?
Leave out anything that praises, compares, promotes or invites work. The write-up conditions in para 3.1.3 and the website guidelines give a clear list.
- Testimonials or endorsements about members or about fees (3.1.3 E), so no review widgets or star ratings on the site.
- Awards and accreditations, except awards from the Central or State Government or regulatory bodies (3.1.3 F).
- Monograms, catchwords and logos: 3.1.3 G bars monograms and catchwords, and the Council's December 1997 decision prohibits a firm logo or monogram on any media, including the internet. ICAI's own CA India logo is the exception.
- Banner advertisements of any kind on the website (3.3.16).
- Ads that push people to the website: para 3.3.5 bars circulars or advertisements that solicit people to visit it, so the cautious reading rules out paid search ads and boosted posts.
- Requests to like or follow your social pages; you may link them (3.3.12).
Let typography and layout carry the design instead. Set the firm name in plain text, use a restrained colour palette and generous white space, and skip stock photos of handshakes or smiling "clients". The Code allows passport-style photographs and a gallery of professional events the firm organised or where its partners lectured (para 3.3.9), which is enough to make the site feel personal.
How should pull mode shape audit and attestation pages?
Keep exclusive services behind a deliberate click, and never push them out. Para 3.3.3 allows websites to run on pull as well as push technology, but for services exclusively reserved for chartered accountants "only 'pull' model will be permitted".
Para 3.3.4 adds that information about those services must not be circulated by email or any other mode except on a specific pull request. In design terms:
- Put audit and attestation on its own page under the Services menu, not in a home-page slider.
- Do not trigger pop-ups, chat prompts or notifications about audit work.
- Keep audit services out of newsletters and WhatsApp broadcasts.
- Present non-exclusive services, such as GST return filing support or bookkeeping, normally, within the honest-and-truthful conditions of para 3.1.3.
Test the audit page like a visitor would: it should be reachable from the menu, but nothing on the site should pop it up, preview it or send it to anyone unasked.
Can a Rohtak CA firm offer a client portal, chat and online advice?
Yes. The Code expressly permits a document portal, chat with clients and online advice to clients who ask for it, provided confidentiality is protected. For a practice that collects GST and accounting papers from many traders every month, this is often the most useful feature of the site.
- Para 3.3.11 allows a document management facility with a distinct login and password for each client, and chat rooms between the firm and its clients, observing confidentiality.
- Para 3.3.13 allows online advice to clients who specifically request it, free or paid.
- Para 3.3.15 asks the website to ensure adequate secrecy of client matters.
Build the portal with HTTPS, separate client accounts, strong passwords or two-step login, access logs and regular backups. The Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 add an eighteen-month phased compliance period and require a clear consent notice explaining the purpose of any personal data collected (PIB summary). Enquiry and follow-up tracking can sit in a simple CRM.
How should Hindi and English work for Rohtak clients?
Write service pages in English with Hindi versions of the explainers that traders and small businesses read most. Many shop owners prefer Hindi for tax topics, while IMT finance teams and salaried professionals search in English.
- GST return basics and due dates, updated whenever the dates move.
- What changed now that the Income-tax Act, 2025 has replaced the 1961 Act from 1 April 2026.
- A document checklist for salaried staff filing returns.
- TDS basics for small manufacturers and contractors.
Date every explainer, avoid fee figures, and keep the tone educational. Para 3.3.10 allows professional updates of this kind.
How can a Rohtak CA firm be found locally without soliciting?
Be accurate everywhere and useful on your own site. A person searching for a chartered accountant in Rohtak is already looking; your job is to make the right facts easy to find.
- Google Business Profile: your real firm name, real office address and the fewest categories that describe the practice, as Google's guidelines require. See our Business Profile guide.
- Location page: map, landmarks and parking for each office registered with ICAI, matching ICAI's records (para 3.3.21).
- Useful links: the Rohtak Branch of NIRC of ICAI page, which para 3.3.18 lets you link.
- Domain: as near as possible to the firm name, not a keyword domain (para 3.3.20).
- Reviews: do not display them on the site or run review-request campaigns; reply to any factually, without client details.
For the technical side, our SEO services in Rohtak page covers speed, indexing and structured data, which stay factual for a CA site.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which ICAI rules apply to a CA firm website in 2026?
ICAI's Code of Ethics, 2026 (13th edition) applies from 1 April 2026. Its Chapter 3 includes website guidelines in para 3.3, issued under Clause (7) of Part I of the First Schedule to the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. They list what a firm may display and bar solicitation, testimonials, fees and banner ads. This is not legal or professional advice.
Can a Rohtak CA firm run Google Ads for its website?
The cautious answer is no. Para 3.3.5 of the Code says chartered accountants should not issue any circular, advertisement or other material that solicits people to visit their website, though they may print the web address on stationery and email. Paid search ads and boosted posts aimed at sending people to the site fall within that concern.
Can a CA website have a client login portal?
Yes. Para 3.3.11 of the Code allows firms to provide a document management facility with a distinct login and password for each client, and chat between the firm and its clients, as long as confidentiality is observed. Build it with HTTPS, separate accounts, strong authentication, access logs and backups, and give a clear privacy notice.
Should a Rohtak CA website be in Hindi?
A bilingual site works well. Keep service and team pages in English, and add Hindi versions of the explainers traders read most, such as GST return basics, income-tax changes and document checklists. Para 3.3.10 allows articles and professional updates. Date each explainer, avoid fee figures and update it whenever deadlines or rules change.
Can a CA firm list clients or show reviews on its website?
Client names and the nature of the assignment may be shown only with the client's permission, and for exclusive services only the client name may appear. Fees cannot be given. Testimonials and endorsements are not allowed in write-ups under para 3.1.3, so the safer course is not to display reviews or ratings on the website at all.
