Salhawas

Internet for a working block town.

Salhawas gives its name to a tehsil of Jhajjar district, and its Wikipedia article notes that the village has its own postal head office. Using 2011 Census figures, the same article records 5,962 residents in 1,165 households, which makes it a good deal larger than most villages in the cluster served from Kasni, and it lists Bithla, Dhakla, Nilaheri, Humayupur, Birar, Bhindawas, Niwada and Amboli as adjacent villages. A place of that size draws people in from around it to buy, to study and to get paperwork done, so a lot of the internet use in Salhawas happens at a counter or a desk rather than at home.

Work use is different from home use in three ways. It happens at fixed hours, when a dropped connection costs a sale or holds up a customer in the queue. It runs several devices at once: a billing computer, a printer, the owner's phone, a staff phone and perhaps a CCTV recorder. And it often has to reach further than one room, into a store at the back, an upstairs office or a hall where twenty students sit with phones open. That is why we start every business connection in Salhawas with a visit, so the plan, the router and the position of the antenna fit the building and the hours it is used.

A coaching centre or tuition room is the most demanding case. When a teacher plays a recorded lecture on a projector while students attempt a mock test on their phones, every device is pulling data at the same moment. For a room like that the 100 or 200 Mbps plans make more sense than the entry plans, and a second access point can carry the signal into another room. Wikipedia describes a wireless access point as a device that lets other WiFi devices join a network, which is exactly the job it does in a two-room centre or a shop with a godown behind it.

Call or WhatsApp — Mon–Sat, 9 AM – 7 PM.

Who provides WiFi broadband in Salhawas?

DVM Techno provides wireless broadband in Salhawas from its branch office in Kasni, which serves 37 villages around it. A small antenna on the roof receives the signal over the air, so no cable is laid to the building and nothing is dug up. Call or WhatsApp +91-8448523313, Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM, to book a free signal survey.

How much does a WiFi connection cost in Salhawas?

Basic 30 Mbps is 400 rupees a month and Starter 50 Mbps is 600 rupees a month, both including GST. Standard 100 Mbps and Premium 200 Mbps are also available; call or WhatsApp the Kasni team for their current price. Installation of the antenna and router is free.

Is there a FUP or data limit on these plans?

No. Every plan has unlimited data with no FUP, so a busy month at the shop or a week of online tests in a coaching room does not slow the connection down after a set amount of use.

How long does installation take?

Fitting the antenna and router usually takes 2 to 3 hours after the free survey, and in most villages served from Kasni the internet starts the same day. For a building that needs an extra access point, the team tells you at the survey what the work involves.

Do I need a phone line or a cable to the shop?

No. The connection reaches the antenna on your roof over the air. You need a spot on the roof with a good signal, which the survey finds, and a normal power socket inside for the router.

Which plan suits a shop with billing and UPI in Salhawas?

A counter with one billing computer, a UPI phone and the owner's phone usually runs comfortably on Starter 50 Mbps. If staff phones, a CCTV recorder and online orders all share the same line, Standard 100 Mbps leaves more room. The survey looks at your actual devices before you decide.

Can one connection serve a coaching centre full of students?

It can, if it is sized for it. Many phones streaming a lecture or loading a test at the same moment need a higher plan such as Standard 100 Mbps or Premium 200 Mbps, and a large hall or two rooms may need a second access point. Tell us the number of students per batch when you call.

Can the WiFi reach an upstairs office or a godown at the back?

Often, yes. Concrete floors and walls weaken WiFi, so the router goes in a central spot and, where needed, an extra access point carries the signal into the far room. We check this during the free site survey.
